Travel through time to the land of the Pharoahs.
Ancient, mysterious, sacred.
Awaiting you.
We'll begin our journey tracing the footsteps of Pharoahs as we explore some of the most mysterious and famous archeological sites in human history. The Sphinx awaits and will be found after a camel ride among the Great Pyramids of Giza.
Boasting pyramids even older than those at Giza, the Necropoli of Saqqara and Dashur will tickle your imagination before we delve into the extensive collections of artifacts and treasures found in Memphis (the original capital of Egypt) and, later, at the Egyptian National Museum (which also houses so.many.mummies.)
Expect to be inspired by human resilience and ingenuity as you walk the streets of Garbage City and the City of the Dead where we'll visit families who have created prosperity among death and debris.
And no visit to Cairo is complete without immersing ourselves in the rush and swirl of of the night market, Khan el Khalili, where we'll barter for the best prices on beautiful things.
But wait! There's more to Egypt than just Cairo!! Prepare to voyage "down" to Upper Egypt to the cities of Luxor and Aswan where we'll spend time on the Nile, sleep in a Nubian Village, and walk the Avenue of the Sphinxes from the Karnak Temple Complex to the Luxor temple - site of sacred coronations of Pharoahs.
After a sunrise hot air balloon ride, we'll navigate the Valley of the Kings -- the very location where the tomb of Thutmose II was just barely discovered in February, 2025; and we will descend into at least three other tombs in the valley. (We will probably not be admitted to the newly discovered Thutmose II tomb ... boo ... but there are many others to stun your senses).
A day trip to Abu Simbel at the very Southern border of Egypt will place us at the doorstep of the magnificent temples of Ramses II and his most beloved wife, Nefertari. In 1968, these temples were disassembled block-by-block and reassembled on higher ground as the Great Aswan Dam caused the shore of Lake Nasr to rise, threatening to submerge the sacred temples permanently. Absolutely amazing.
After so many days wayfinding through the drifting sands of Egypt's desert treasures, we'll complete our tour at a beautufully relaxing hotel on the Red Sea where we'll enjoy lovely accommodations, delicous food, sparkling pools, the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea and cool sea breezes.
Be sure you bring a pen with a lot of ink...
you'll be crossing off bucket list items one right after another:
You will see mummies. You will enter pyramids. You will tour ancient temples - so ancient, in fact, that they were already millennia old when Jesus Christ was born. You will ride a camel; and you will --literally-- walk in the footsteps of Cleopatra, Hatshetsup, Rameses.
You'll relax in a traditional Hamam (Arabic bath/spa); you'll dip your toes (or more) in the Nile River; you'll watch the city of Luxor awaken at sunrise ... from the basket of a hot air balloon. You'll drive a quad bike (4-wheeler) to a Bedouin Village in the Sahara Desert; and you'll snorkel in the Blue Waters of the Red Sea.
ALSO included in the price is all lodging; all of your breakfasts and lunches; as well as many dinners. All ground, domestic air, and sea transportation is included (including a personal meet-and-greet representative as you arrive at Cairo Airport). Additionally, the tour price includes a local Egyptologist as a guide PLUS Ms. Liberty alongside you. Most gratuities are included.
The price is unbelievable. The company is unbeatable.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The dappling waters of the Mediterranean Sea are beckoning.
Of course, those waters will wait until we've had our fill of what the sands of time will unveil to us among the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sacred Valleys, Tombs, and Temples of Luxor, Dendara, and Abydos.
This tour begins with a bath - duly in the fashion of Cleopatra - at a Hammam... a traditional Arabic bath house. Here, we'll alleviate our jet lag with steam, sauna, body scrubs, and light massage.
After a meet-and-mingle dinner and a good night's sleep, we'll get off to an early start to tour the Great Pyramids of Giza. Our camels boast names such as "Mickey Mouse" and "Shakira" and their handlers will guide us with good humor through as we break from the crowds and ride through the sands of the Sahara for a lesser-seen perspective. Mid-day, we'll take a break from the heat while visit the shop of a Bedouin Sheikh whose family has specialized in exotic oils for generations.
We'll spend a few days in the Greater Cairo Area, being awe-struck at museums; entering tombs and pyramids at the Necropoli of Saqqara and Dashur; and we'll spend some time at the O.G. capital of Egypt: Memphis.
As a rare and special treat, we will walk the streets of two extremely unique and little-know 'mini cities' within Cairo: Garbage City and The City of the Dead. Our guide for this special tour is a local who was born and raised in Garbage City who embodies the spirit of resilience and ingenuity of his people.
In the City of the Dead, people live among acres of generational family tombs and mausoleums as caretakers. Their homes are, quite literally, the mausoleums....just right up in there next to the vaults. Human resourcefulness at its very finest.
You might be a little taken aback by Garbage City ... it IS the country's national waste facility/landfill after all ... but you will also be absolutely amazed.
From Cairo, we'll venture South to Luxor. Which, despite being South of Cairo, is located in Upper Egypt. (Don't worry -- we have our own private Egyptologist who will explain evvverything!). We'll dream of fertile fields and unbridled prosperity in the courtyard of Queen Hatshepsut's Memorial Temple; and we'll descend into the inner sanctum of at least three tombs in the Valley of the Kings. We'll culminate this amazing day standing in awe of the incredible artwork found in the tombs of the Valley of Artisans.
The Avenue of the Sphinxes will be our walking conduit between the temple complex of Karnak and the Luxor Temple located directly on the shore of the Nile, where, in ancient times, Pharoahs were coronated amid great pomp and ceremony.
Little known to most tourists, the cities of Abydos and Dendara hold exquisite treasures in vivid and impressively-intact temples that will hold us spellbound and ignite our imaginations. The road trip / day trip will be a little long ... but so well worth it.
Finally, we will wend our way back to Lower (Northern) Egypt and bask in the beautiful sunshine and soothing waters of the Mediterranean Sea. We'll get intellectual for a time at the Alexandria Library; and get creeped out a little at the catacombs. (They're soooooo awesome!); and then we'll gaze far out across the glistening Mediterranean from the upper towers of the Citadel ..... and we'd BETTER get some amazing, fresh seafood while we're at it!
Get ready to check SO MANY THINGS off your bucket list!
